Para los niños is a family learning program that serves parents whose first language is Spanish. The program is facilitated for free by libraries and children’s museums, and all materials and resources needed to establish a program at your site are available at no cost through the web links available here.

Para los niños was created through a partnership between The Children’s Museum of Houston and Houston Public Library, and is funded through grants from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Powell Foundation.

Para los niños has been implemented in over 30 public libraries in the Houston and Harris County area. It was piloted and currently being implemented into programs in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida through a partnership with the Broward County Library System and St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota through a partnership with Minnesota Children’s Museum and their local library systems.
